Remedies to cure nails

More and more women have brittle nail problems; cracking or yellowing nails are now common problems. There are ad hoc products on the market to strengthen brittle nails but they can be irritating to the hands.

  • Olive oil

To nourish fragile nails, we can use olive oil; just put some in a cup, moisten a cotton swab and rub on the nails. Leave the oil on the nails for at least twenty minutes, then wash your hands with a natural soap.
Repeat this operation every other day.

  • Vitamin E

For this treatment you will need to buy the vitamin E capsules that you can find on sale in pharmacies or health food stores. Take a clear nail polish and pour the contents of one vitamin E capsule into it. Apply this vitamin nail polish every week.

  • The garlic

Cut a clove of garlic in half and massage the nails and cuticles lightly, then wash your hands with a natural soap. Do this every other day.

  • Nourishing mask

Pour a teaspoon of papaya, an egg yolk, lemon juice and five teaspoons of milk into a saucepan. Stir until you get a homogeneous mixture then dip your nails in for at least ten minutes. Repeat the treatment every week

  • The Horsetail

Boil a cup of water with four twigs of horsetail. Let the infusion rest then soak your nails for at least 15 minutes. Repeat the treatment every week.

  • Lemon and almond oil

Press a lemon to extract the juice then add a spoonful of sugar. Pour the juice with the sugar into a container and dip your nails in it for ten minutes. Next, take a cotton ball, moisten it with almond oil and apply it on all nails.

How to whiten your nails

  • Don't bite your nails
  • Do not abuse the glazes, it is better to wait a period of time between one application and another.
  • Don't use your nails as if they were tools
  • Wear gloves to do anything especially household chores - detergents, fabric softeners, or soaps contain chemicals
