Baking soda is also effective against limescale stains and encrustations. Just mix it with a little hot vinegar and you will get a powerful natural descaler. Before application, it is advisable to pre-treat the affected areas with lemon and leave to act for at least 10 minutes. Then rub with a sponge soaked in baking soda and vinegar on the limestone then rinse with hot water and finally dry.
