In this regard we can prepare one homemade DIY shampoo, using natural ingredients that are readily available. The advantages are many, they reduce or eliminate any irritation, avoiding the use of foaming agents that are not necessary for natural hair care, in addition to the fact that we are preparing environmentally friendly products!
DIY shampoo for dry hair
- 150 ml of distilled water
- 150 ml of natural liquid soap ***
- 150 ml of aloe vera gel
- 150 ml of linseed oil
Pour all the ingredients into a bowl and mix carefully until everything is combined. Apply to wet hair and rub lightly. Leave on for 5 minutes then rinse. Dab your hair with a towel.
*** When we talk about “natural liquid soap” we refer to a homemade soap or Castile soap. The ingredients of Castile soap are natural and can be beneficial to the hair (the ingredients of Castile soap are:water, potassium oleate (obtained from sunflower oil), potassium cocoate (obtained from coconut oil), vegetable glycerin, potassium citrate and citric acid.
If used alone, Castile soap can further damage the hair, which is why it is necessary to combine it with a moisturizing oil such as linseed oil, avocado oil or jojoba oil.
DIY shampoo for hair with dandruff
- 150 ml of distilled water
- 150 ml of liquid neutral soap
- 1 teaspoon of jojoba oil
- 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
- 5 ml of apple juice
- 6 ground cloves
Pour the ingredients into a blender and operate on low speed. Once you have the mixture, apply it to wet hair and rub carefully. Leave on for 5 minutes then rinse. Pat your hair dry with a towel.
Do-it-yourself shampoo should be stored in the refrigerator in a capped bottle for up to 3 or 4 days.
Note: apple cider vinegar is a natural anti-dandruff.
DIY shampoo for hair for treated hair

- 100 ml of nettle juice
- 50 grams of soapwort root juice
- 10 drops of argan oil
- 200 ml of water

- 100 ml of water
- 2 tablespoons of chamomile tea
- 1 tablespoon of lemon
- 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons of liquid castile soap
Boil the water with the chamomile, filter and add the rest of the ingredients. Mix the mixture well and proceed with the application as above.
Natural shampoo for soft hair

- 1/4 cup coconut milk (preferably homemade coconut milk or 100% natural coconut milk)
- 1/4 cup of Castile soap
- 20 drops of essential oil of your choice (if you have dandruff problems, tea tree oil is perfect! If you want to stimulate hair growth, then opt for carrot essential oil)
- 1 tablespoon jojoba oil (or almond or avocado oil)
- 1/4 cup of distilled water (if the coconut milk you used is already diluted with water, avoid this ingredient).
Just mix all the ingredients in a bottle and use it.
How to have shiny hair
If you are looking for anatural remedy for shiny and shiny hair, you can rinse with a given mixture, 50% water and apple cider vinegar. The vinegar smell will disappear during drying and the hair will appear brighter.
